Blue Pearl Quarry
The Aak quarry is located at the heart of the Blue Pearl area. The high quality material, which is quarried here, is famous for its unique, deep blue shine. The small proportion of light Blue Pearl extracted from this quarry is particularly recognisable by its high concentration of blue crystals. Aak quarry was one of the first quarries in Tvedalen, and was reopened and developed professionally by Larvik Granite, when we began operations here in 1987. Production has increased every year and we have the capacity to produce 4500-5500m3/year. Aak, our main Blue Pearl quarry, has resources that can be exploited well into the next century.
